Soggy Walk on Xmas Eve

I took these photos with my iPhone on a wet walk on the marshes this afternoon and now I’m trying out publishing this post from it as well.

It stopped raining for 5 minutes so I thought I’d get out quick – but I still got rained on. Mind you, 90 minutes without rain was asking a lot.
Happy Christmas !

A Visit to Hereford

First I must tell everyone that the StillWalks website is currently offline due to a hacking attack. 🙁 I hope to have it back up and running by the end of the week. This blog is still going as is the Facebook page and Flickr.

Another trip to a new place – this time to visit Hereford College of Art with my daughter who will be starting a degree in applied arts next year.

The college was very good and the lecturers very enthusiastic. Hereford was a great place too. We visited the Museum and Art Gallery and the cathedral and were very impressed. The gallery had an exhibition on called Emerge from the Made in the Middle organisation and the cathedral was a fascinating place. We will have to visit again.

Here are some pics from the exhibition – tomorrow I’ll put some up from the cathedral, all taken on my iPhone!

Gifts for Christmas

It still seems quite early to me for this kind of thing but I know how fast time passes and before you know it, we’ll be running around trying to think of gifts for people at the last minute.

Buy a DVD at the gift fair for just £10. Buy two and get a free gift voucher worth £3.00 – only at the gift fair.

This weekend StillWalks will be at the first of two Christmas Gift Fair weekends. The first is at the National Botanic Garden of Wales in the Great Glass House and runs from Saturday 10th – Sunday 11th November.

We will have DVD Collections 1 and 2, framed and unframed prints from some of the walks plus gift vouchers and greetings cards.

Individual StillWalks, DVD Collections, gift vouchers and prints are always available on the StillWalks website but you’ll only get the gift fair prices and offers at the gift fair.

“My sister bought me one of the StillWalks DVDs and I really enjoy it. I look forward to new collections coming out.” Reg Wadsworth

“Great idea. Have bought 2 DVDs for my sons.” Helen (formerly of Belfast)

New Locations

I guess I’m a bit behind with this but, gradually, I am getting better organised with things and will be trying to put up more regular blog entries as well as a Facebook page and more.

The news is that there are now links to the locations for some of the StillWalks. The full length walks (5 – 7 minutes each) have all got location links for anyone who is interested and these will take you to a Google map. In time, all of the StillWalks on the website will be full length and linked to the full HD versions on Youtube with smaller files available in a separate browser window for those not allowed to access Youtube – such as schools.

More new StillWalks are on their way but the weather here in Wales, lately, has not been what you would call scorching hot! Also to come is a more detailed description of what is involved in putting the StillWalks together – they’re not just a bunch of photos thrown together as a slide show you know!
