The Ivies Have It

More dappled sunlight in these last images from the Clydach Riding Club show field – see earlier post this week for more.

The images below are available at the StillWalks PhotoShelter website – you’ll find these ones and others from this short series under Inter Hunt collection extras.

Wayside Wild Flowers

Following the footpath through the woods (see yesterdays post) I came across lots of these very common wild flowers, all of which I know well – except 3 and 4. What are they? Can anyone tell me?

A Different Angle

Looking at things from another angle is important – you always gain a new perspective.

The first shot could have been taken on a different day to the others, but no, just a different angle.

The shot above looks as though it could have been “Photoshopped”, but I swear it hasn’t – it’s just the angle!

All images are from the StillWalk “Coastal Walk”.

Watching

It seems to me that these stones are an audience in the circle watching the tide –

– but really it is their balancing act that is the attraction!

With each StillWalk I produce, I select nine or ten images as stand alone shots and make them available for purchase. These are two more from the “Coastal Walk” in Spring in South West Scotland. The photos are available to buy at PhotoBox.

Waiting

Looking out to sea and waiting – that is what these “standing stones” appear to be doing!

My StillWalk, “Coastal Walk“, in Scotland in the Spring features these shots. The balanced stones looked as though they were just biding their time and waiting for some spectacular event – or perhaps they were just soaking up the sun while they could.

What is this?

Can anyone guess the answer? During a recce walk near Llanpumsaint in Carmarthenshire, Wales earlier this week, we came across some interesting and unexpected evidence of . . . something!

The answer will be posted tomorrow 🙂

Protecting the Dead

They say time heals all wounds. Time is having a different effect on these railings around an old grave in St Teilo’s churchyard down on the marshes near Pontarddulais – unless you consider that nature is healing by gradually taking over.

The trees below will not, I think, be healed by time. These magnificent trees were cut down as part of the restoration of the walls of this old churchyard. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I went there one day to find them gone completely, and I wondered how the residents of the graves felt about it.
