The architecture of the main entertainment block in Park Tawe, Swansea, could not be said to be very inspiring. There is a covered walkway over to the centre of town which is purely functional in its design.
However, viewed from the right angles and in the right conditions, some great patterns can be seen. Even the peeling paint on the underside creates a kind of two tone map of some imaginary archipelago.
It is always exciting to see the sun breaking through the clouds and in this case creating a pool of gold on the sea.
Last week I was posting photos of the early morning light at Easter in Scotland. This week the photos are about the light as the end of the day approaches.
I like both these shots of the same scene in Wigtown Bay in Galloway, SW Scotland. There was five minutes time between each shot and although the pool of reflected sunlight is still there in the second image, other conditions were changing rapidly.
I didn’t sit down once I reach the top of Knockbrex Hill on the early morning walk! The photos I have posted all week are all from this walk in Galloway, SW Scotland and looking through the images has provided me with some very attractive memories.
Sunlight was not the only element of the atmosphere on my early morning walks in Scotland. The sun had toy work at lifting the moisture in the air as well as lighting up the landscape.

Early morning sunlight, dew on the grass and flowers – what more could you ask for?
The Daffodils have been and almost gone at Easter time in Galloway, Scotland but the Bluebells are coming through and both the flowers and the grass look like they are revealing in the early morning sun.
The angle of light on the stones on this beach proves the walk I had that morning in Galloway, SW Scotland really was not long after sunrise.
