Our yellow broom hangs out over the garden path and so I brush past it every time I go up or down the garden. It is a welcome encounter 🙂

Monochrome Steps
I like the hi-vis colour of the staircases in the industrial area of Cardiff but this first shot cried out for the monochrome treatment. Another of these can be seen on the Monochrome Madness 39 blog post of Leanne Cole Photography

Yellow – Botanic Gardens, Swansea
These are for my daughter who is 22 today! Happy Birthday Ellen 🙂
Identity – Unlike yesterday’s post, I know these flowers in the Botanic Gardens in Swansea, at least generally if not specifically! The first is a Day Lily, the third, a Rose and the last a Japanese Anemone.
And the second? An Aster I think! Can anyone confirm that and / or identify the Rose or the Lily?

Poppies Are Prettier
I took these photographs of flowers on the same day I took those shots of fences and sheep. Whatever way you look at it, Poppies are prettier than sheep!
The Welsh Poppy is one of my favourite flowers and is beautiful at every stage. Here the flower’s petals had just dropped. It must be one of the last for this year and the petals fell as I was setting up for the shot.
