My Walk this Week 186 – Following a Theme

Following my theme of late, to publish a new take on an old post about walks at this time of year from three years ago, my walk this week looks back at an urban lakeside amble which I remember enjoying in between meetings on a working day.

I can’t help feeling that the southern European habit of having a siesta – a reasonable break in the middle of the working day – and then extending that day by an hour or two at the end, is healthier for both mind and body than the 10 – 12 hour shifts we do with just 15 minutes break in every five hours.

I always have a low energy point after lunch break and do not work as efficiently afterwards for an hour or so. Maybe I’m southern European by nature – perhaps I should move to the south of France, that would be nice!

As with all my walks, the sound is almost the most important memory trigger for the occasion.

So click the play button or soundscape title above to listen and then the first image below to see the full images in sequence (not available like this on the mobile WordPress Reader in which case visit the blog in your mobile’s internet browser – NB you will need to open the sound file and images in separate browser tabs to listen and look at the same time).
