My walk this week is again from three years ago, when it seems as though the weather was colder and there was thick frost on the ground – we haven’t really had that yet this year.
The walk was in Penclawdd on the North Gower Peninsula and my selected images and soundscape below tell something of the atmosphere of the place as it looks out across the Loughor Estuary and Burry Inlet to Carmarthenshire.
The clear sky and open space is something I really appreciate at the moment, working indoors in a warehouse all the time as I am, and not seeing much daylight. There are times when I feel the need of a more enveloping and intimate space as I feel a wooded environment can be, but the expanse of a clear sky and broad landscape allows my spirit to roam free and far and is an excellent compensation for the confined aisles in which I currently spend so much of my time.

I find myself reaching for a StillWalks video in the car at the end of the working day, before I set off home in heavy traffic. It brings a remarkable benefit, helping me to relax and forget the environment I have been working in. The human interaction, such as it is, and camaraderie is the one thing that helps to make the day tolerable, but I also enjoy the solitude I feel when watching a StillWalks video.

Indeed it is! Unfortunately at the moment the environment in Wales is a bit too moist – just wish the rain would stop
