Climbing To the Panoramas

As I walked up the footpath I was surrounded by a sea of red Autumn bracken. Click the panorama shots to view them larger and get a slightly better sense of my surroundings as I near the top of my walk. Photographs can never replace the real thing but perhaps today’s sound clip will help to give you a better sense of place.

    • It is – and in almost any weather too. The atmosphere changes with it all. I have been up on the Mawr in blistering sunshine and torrential rain, mist, wind, the lot. This walk was a pretty peaceful one.

    • Absolutely. The colour of the bracken in certain lights can be truly incredible, especially in Autumn when there is mixed weather – sunshine and clouds. Thanks.

      • I keep looking at the weather forecast promising myself a trip to the Brecons … Hmmm still a little too unpredictable at the moment . Well it is anywhere I guess . I need a spy on the ground 😀

        • Being on the edge here on the Mawr near Swansea the weather is not quite such an obstacle but I still wouldn’t want to be caught up there if the mist came in. Definitely got to be careful in the Beacons.
