My walk this week, my first for 2018, shows the madly rushing water of the Afon Lliedi as it flows down from Swiss Valley Reservoir on a very wet and gloomy afternoon.
The rain was falling but you can only allow bad weather to stop you going out for so long before it becomes a necessity for both body and mind to free itself from the confines of buildings. The roaring river crashing over rocks as it poured down its ravine, threatened the parallel footpath up to the reservoir and I had a number of muddy, waterlogged sections to negotiate en route.
This was another dark walk taken later in the day than intended and with the failing light, photography was yet again a challenge. It was all a bit of a scramble but I enjoyed it all the same and felt much better for the exercise and exhilaration of the conditions.
Powerful images!
Thank you. It was a dark walk but I’m looking forward to posting some brighter day images soon.
