The wildflowers I have been posting images about this week were all photographed within a half mile along this coastal track in south west Scotland.
It will be hard to pick out my favourites but this may be partly helped by selecting not only the flowers I particularly like (all of them!) but also the photographs that I think work well for one reason or another.Continue reading
One could get argumentative about the recognition and naming of any colour – in this case pink. When it comes to wildflowers (or anything else for that matter) there is a huge range of tones, tints and shades lying between pinks and blues.
I chose to go with pink for some of the wildflowers found on my walks during a holiday in south west Scotland because to me that is the obvious hue in the image above and some of the other images below. However, the flowers in these shots Continue reading
Out of the woods and heading for the sea, this stretch of boggy meadow in Cwm Nash was full of colour.
Following the footpath through the woods (see yesterdays post) I came across lots of these very common wild flowers, all of which I know well – except 3 and 4. What are they? Can anyone tell me?

On my way home from a new StillWalks production location in Carmarthenshire last week, I had to stop a couple of times to let other vehicles pass on a narrow single track road.
Despite having already spent the day taking photos and field recording near Llanpumsaint, I took the opportunity to get one or two more shots of this beautiful part of Wales.
