Cycling Perspective and Reviewing the Walk

My walk this week has been along a very straight footpath that also doubles as a cycle path. I used to cycle a lot but my preference now is for walking – both are excellent forms of exercise and both give you more time and peace to enjoy the sights and sounds of your surroundings so I heartily recommend them to everyone as a means of maintaining health and wellbeing.

The sounds are as important as the sights on a walk (or cycle) and if your preference is to walk with a group, again I recommend that you stop from time to time to be quiet and take in your surroundings both visually and aurally.

  1. I like to walk, but my husband’s a cyclist. He’s cycled 3,000 or more miles each of the last two years, even cycling in the last several days with below zero (Fahrenheit) wind chill!!
