River Fleet

My Walk this Week 178 – Scottish Woodland

My walk this week is another from Scotland where I took a stroll through woodland on the edge of Gatehouse of Fleet. Starting from the banks of the river Fleet, I enjoyed the familiar footpath as I twisted and turned in a loop, looking at my surroundings with a strong green cast to the light.

It is a peaceful part of the country and while there is an inevitable background of man-made sound, the ambience of the forest was more noticeable with its birds and flowing water, a gentle breeze in the trees and just the occasional sound of other people in the area.

So click the play button or soundscape title above to listen and then the first image below to see the full images in sequence (not available like this on the mobile WordPress Reader in which case click the Visit button via the … menu or open in your mobile’s internet browser – NB you will need to open the sound file and images in separate browser tabs).

This is yet another walk where I have used my phone of both photography and sound recording!

    • Thank you Martine. I’m very pleased you enjoyed. We’re you able to look and listen at the same time. If not, try opening the sound file and images in separate browser tabs.

    • We’re you viewing/listening on the WP reader? I find I cannot see the posts as they are intended if viewing on the reader on a mobile phone. To get the full experience you need to go to the blog on the website and open the sound file and images in separate tabs. Sorry about that. My only option would be to publish the posts as video and that takes more time than I can give. Hope the separate tabs work for you.

  1. Lovely images. As we are experiencing extreme heat and wildfires all around the LA area, this was a cooling, calming experience.

    • Thank you. I wouldn’t want the wildfires but our weather here today is awful, horribly wet and wild. Fingers crossed those fires don’t do too much damage.

  2. Trying again to leave a comment. Lovely images. As we are dealing with extreme heat and wildfires all around the LA area this was a cooling, calming experience.
