My walk this week has been from June 2012 and features the Dorset wind. I don’t know to what extent the wind has been apparent to anyone viewing the photos for this walk that I have posted through the week, but the soundscape below should give a sense of time as well as place. Continue reading

Towards a Forest Exit – Reviewing the Walk
You can just see some evidence of civilisation in the form of a building at the end of this tunnel of forest growth in the image above. The indication is that I am approaching an exit of the forest on this walk from back in May 2010. Continue reading
The Road from Skanda Vale – Reviewing the Walk
The first of six weeks of looking back at walks I have done in the past took me to Skanda Vale and an extensive woodland in Carmarthenshire, Wales. I can’t remember what prompted me to go there but the ditch hikers walk, as it is known, was a good discovery. Continue reading
Watching the Waves and Reviewing the Walk
I had expected this to the starting point of my walk this week – watching the waves on Pagham Beach on the south coast of England. Soaring – Reviewing the Walk for the Old Mill Foundation

If you would like to donate to the Old Mill Foundation, please visit their website and click the “Donate” button.Continue reading

I was sitting in my car eating sandwiches before my two hour drive home and when I turned my head to look out to sea, this is what I saw. I immediately jumped out of the car and grabbed my camera from the boot – a good job I was quick too as a minute later the sun had disappeared again.Continue reading
The Mawr and the Mist – Reviewing the Walk
This image of the Mawr is very similar to the one I used at the start of this walk at the start of the week. The mist was even thicker on my way down and I also had rain to accompany me as you will be able to hear below.
Taste of Gower Oxwich – Reviewing the Walk
Looking back on this Taste of Gower walk at Oxwich Bay I think we would all agree that we were fortunate with the weather and the photo above, taken at Oxwich Bay Hotel, helps to confirm this.At a time of year when it can still be cold it was remarkably warm when in the shelter of Oxwich Burroughs.
