My walk this week is one with winter frost and sunshine in abundance – it was very enjoyable. I did not have the inclination to climb on this particular morning and so took to the local park and from there headed down to the river. The tide was not high and there was little or no wind so the river Loughor and its marshy estuary were still and bright.
My field recordings for this walk inevitably include the motorway that crosses the estuary, the signposts for which can be seen in the background of the image above. This element of the local environment does not spoil the overall soundscape with the hard frosty ground underfoot, the birds singing and a passing light aircraft taking advantage of the good winter weather. You’ll be able to listen to this at the end of the week.
Frosty sunny day do make stunning landscapes.
Yes the cold DRY crispness is nicer than what we have now. Ah well, back to normal.
Wonderful and refreshing 🙂
Thank you
